Jimmy, you’re now crawling around like nobody’s business. You love to try to get anything you’re not supposed to have. You have a particular fondness for wires. Maybe we have a young electrician on our hands!

Jimmy, it’s nearly Christmas and the kids are excited. You’re doing your darndest to learn to crawl so you can chase Santa, but I don’t think you’ll quite make it. You made a bunch of goofy faces during this week’s photoshoot. It was really hard to pick just one!

Jimmy, the picture this week was you at your Uncle Murray’s house, where you and I went to hang out one evening. You slept on me for a bit, woke up, fussed, were calm enough for a few quick pictures, and then fussed again. You are not a night owl at this point! You don’t want to be awake, but you don’t want to be in your crib, either. Only Mommy and Daddy’s bed will do!

You and Uncle Murray had a grand time at Thanksgiving dinner this year. You feasted on some yummy puréed food while we got the good stuff.

Jimmy, you’re slowly starting to get a grip on the whole “sitting up” thing. You’re not quite there yet, but you do well for long enough that I can snap a quick picture.

Jimmy, you had your first “real” food this week. Baby oatmeal! You seemed very interested in it, even if you couldn’t quite keep everything in your mouth. This is a picture of your mom loving on your despite the messy aftermath!

This week’s picture was taken by your mother. You and she traveled to Houston for Great Grandma’s funeral. While it was a sad occasion, getting all nine siblings together is always a party, and I think they celebrated Grandma’s life in a way that she would have been proud of! And having a baby around always brings some additional joy. You were a good traveler, but Simon, Mary, Lucy, and I were all glad when you and Mommy came back.
