Nobody puts baby in a corner. Except, er. . . Daddy.
Lucy, we have determined that you are the most challenging baby yet. You are opposed to being not held, except for a brief period in the morning. Oh, and (at the risk of jinxing it) at night. You’re actually sleeping pretty well, and you don’t usually wake up until around 3 or 4AM to nurse. I guess that’s progress.

Lucy, this weekend was both Mother’s Day AND Mommy and Daddy’s 10th anniversary. We celebrated in style by leaving you not once, but TWICE in a row. We split up our “dinner and a movie” date to spare you a lengthy time apart from your main nutritional source. And apparently you tried to make us pay for it. Well the joke’s on YOU. Grammy and Pop-pop paid the price (of lots of screaming and crying), not us! HA! Who laughs last NOW, infant? Anyway, Grammy has told us that they’ve hit their yearly babysitting quota in just those two nights.

I’m late again in posting this picture. Our weekends this spring have been jam packed, and I haven’t had the opportunity to take as many pictures as I’d like. I made the conscious decision to leave the “good” camera at home and only take the point-and-shoot to this year’s Race for Hope (supporting brain tumor research). I’d like to say you were a champ during the walk, but that sooooo isn’t true. You were a pill who didn’t want to ride in the stroller and spent probably 1/3 to 1/2 of the walk in the sling with Mommy, who is STILL paying for it with a stiff neck!

So you’re sitting up in this picture, but I totally cheated it with the boppy. Lucy, you continue to be an enigma in the sleeping category. For a while, you were doing great. Then you had several weeks of the nonsense where we’d put you down and you’d immediately wake up. This week, once we settle you, you’re down for 5 or 6 hours. Make up your mind! But only if the made up mind is giving us that nice, lengthy, uninterrupted sleep. Yawn. I’m off to bed!
