For the last three months I’ve been consistently posting. . . twice per month. This month’s post is for all those folks who miss the weekly Simon picture.
Simon knows three words. Bye, apple, and pizza (go figure). Pronounced “Bah”, “Aaaaa-puh”, and “Peeda”. I figured we should record him saying these first few words for posterity. Normally you can prompt him to say a word here or there, but on this day, he thought otherwise. . .
If you figure it out, let me know. My Sony DVD403 HandyCam takes much better videos than what Google hosts. I think they muck around with the MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 compressions and frame rates. I could probably test it by checking the downloaded Google video under Handbrake.
The video hosting courtesy of Google is nice… the means by which they do it, mangling your video, not so nice. 🙁
(…and no matter how infrequently you post, Pat, you can sleep well at night knowing that you will still be posting more than me…)
The sound is exceptionally clear though, even if the picture isn’t. Annie heard Patrick asking, “Can you say apple?” and she started chanting, “apple, mine” (Mine meaning “simon”) over and over. We’ve watched the video at least 6 times so far, and she’s still asking for it. 🙂
That’s awesome. Even pixelated, Simon is adorable!
That was really funny
