The Nursery

I had a good 2 years in this house with a nice, private office (shared with Kate, naturally). Well the office is now in the living room, and what was formerly the office is now the nursery. Do I miss the private office? Not really. But I’m REALLY happy with how the nursery turned out. A big shout-out goes to my in-laws, who in their insane generosity, provided nearly all the furniture in the nursery. My parents provided the furniture for the baby’s wall in our room, but our room isn’t nearly as clean as the nursery, so doesn’t get featured he re!

I’m not a photographer, so you’ll have to believe me when I say it looks better than my photos make it look! So without any further ado, I present, the nursery!

  1. That looks really nice, Pat. The must be really pimped out if you say the pictures don’t do it justice! 🙂

  2. Oh yeah! Special thanks to Carrie for the Hokie Bird mobile. How did I forget to mention that?!

  3. holy cow!! you have a nursery!!
    wee campbell should love it!

my favorite parts: the mobile (are those really little hokies??) and the wee clothes hanging up 🙂

  4. Not only are those little Hokies, but it plays Tech Triumph! Carrie rocks my world.

  5. i would almost have a baby just for that mobile!!! just kidding (kind of) 🙂

btw….am i the only person who doesn’t see anything on the sidebar of your blog anymore??

  6. I’ve noticed that too, Jax. On Safari and Firefox, his sidebar shows up at the top-right. On IE6, keep on scrolling if you want to see his sidebar, it’s on the bottom-right.

    (Pat’s become a firefox snob 😛 )

  7. The post containing the offending code (the Nerd, Geek, or Dork post) has been deleted. That’s the last time I use copy/paste code from somebody else’s site!

Thanks for noticing, Jackie and Ken.

  8. I held the camera up and above my head so that I could fit more in the frame (although the wall with the crib and the dresser was 2 photos stitched together).

  9. I responded yesterday, but it never showed up!!!

Jackie, the mobile is my standard gift when BOTH parents are Hokies. I might have to get your baby a Tribe or something.

I’m very excited that Pat and Kate put the mobile up (at least to take the pictures, anyway). I didn’t think they’d actually use it with the baby because it’s somewhat frightening having several turkeys circling your head. It’s like vultures!

Oh, and was Pat like 15 feet tall when he took those pictures? The nursery looks better than I could have imagined. I’ll have to try and make a trip up there after the wee one is introduced. I know you’re anxious for it to happen.

  10. oh, i can’t believe you two are about to be mommy and daddy. how very bizarre.

    in a neat way.

  11. Raise your hand if you think the baby’s going to have his own blog.
