Genre: Epic Fantasy

Yes, this book is the second in a series. I would have done a review for the whole series, but apparently that defies the Mommy laws. There will be no spoilers.
This book is part of Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere World. If you are going to ever read it, know that you will need to read Warbreaker, and the First book of the Stormlight Archive. And you should also probably read both Mistborn Eras 1 and 2, and Elantris.
Anyways, here’s the review:
One of the things I enjoyed a most about this book was the characters and how they grew. I especially loved watching how much Syl changed throughout the book. Another thing I loved was seeing Shallan’s backstory through flashbacks. I felt like it explained so many things left unanswered in the first book. The times when I most enjoyed myself was probably whenever Kaladin and Adolin interacted, or whenever Wit or Shallan made some wisecrack that most of the characters didn’t even understand. I don’t think I could truthfully say that there was anything I didn’t like about this book, except perhaps that while I was reading I wanted to see Syl more, but if we had, her character would not have changed the way it did. The most shocking and the most excellent part of the book was the terrifyingly awesome cliffhanger/plot twist at the end of the book. There were many of those, but if you have read the book you should know which one I’m talking about.
